Project
“Bach and Sonnets”: ca. 2x 30 minutes of ca. 12 Shakespeare sonnets and 1st cello suite by Bach for one female actor and one male cellist (cellist already under contract).
Fundraiser event for musical charities at Ronnie Scott’s Upstairs.

Rehearsals: Sundays, 13th, 20th, and 27th May from 3pm
Dress Rehearsal: Wednesday, 6th June 2018 from 2pm
Show: Wednesday, 6th June 2018, 5pm-8pm

Description
Actor acts/recites sonnets at the cellist and members of the audience alternating with the cello music (suite has six movements).
Excellent classical singing voice is a nice to have, but not required.
Presentation generally modern. Accent generally RP, possibly with exception of one sonnet (18) being delivered in Shakespearean pronunciation based on David Crystal’s work.
Strictly choreographed “fake” audience interaction.
Perfect memorising of two sonnets required for audition.
Requirements
- Female actor, 28-42 years, ideally resident in London
- Height: min. 5ft 5
- Experience: Paid speaking roles
- Hair length: medium to long
