‘Bach and Sonnets’ at Ronnie Scott’s Upstairs – Thursday 3 October

Shakespeare’s sonnets and Bach – an early evening charity performance in Soho

Shakespeare’s sonnets and a Bach cello suite – treat yourself to an early evening injection of high culture and you’ll be out by 8 pm just in time to grab dinner. All profits go to charity.

Twelve of the Bard’s love poems alternate with the six movements of Bach’s third cello suite.

Oliver Hayes, who grew up in Stratford-upon-Avon declares his love not only to Guildhall trained cellist Sophie Haynes, but also to handpicked members of the audience. Costumes are by British fashion designer Janet Rodney, concept and direction are by the German theatre and music producer Wolfgang Mittelmaier.

The proceeds will go to the musical charities Music Fund, Play for Progress, and Ronnie Scott’s Charitable Foundation.
